ROCKER Meat Loaf yesterday shocked his audience by pausing half way through one of his biggest hits - and announcing it was his last ever performance.
Just days before tickets to his Melbourne concert in February were due to go on sale, the veteran performer surprised fans during a show in Newcastle, northern England.
Shocked fans have reported that Meat Loaf, 60, appeared to be slurring his words during the gig.
Then, while singing Paradise by the Dashboard Light he stopped and announced: "This is my last ever gig. Thanks for 30 years, I can't do this any more."
